PollinERA represented at the XII European Congress of Entomology 2023 in Crete

The PollinERA project was presented at the XII European Congress of Entomology 2023 in Crete, Greece by Pensoft Publishers.

Between 16 and 20 October 2023, the PollinERA project was represented at the XII European Congress of Entomology (ECE 2023) in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Attended by nearly 1000 entomologists from Europe and beyond, the event featured symposia, lectures, poster sessions, and satellite seminars, fostering networking and innovation in entomology.

The Pensoft Publishers exhibition table provided an insightful PollinERA two-pager along with several promotional materials of EU-funded pollinator Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects: B-GOOD, Safeguard, PoshBee and WildPosh. Our project coordinator Prof. Christopher J. Topping, head of The Social-Ecological Systems Simulation (SESS) centre, Aarhus University, Denmark, also made an appearance at the conference. On the final day of ECE 2023, he gave an insightful presentation about the Animal Landscape and Man Simulation System (ALMaSS) as a simulation framework for developing integrated pest management (IPM). He also met with the Pensoft’s representatives who will lead the project’s communication and dissemination activities.
