September for PollinERA: Project materials showcased at events
PollinERA project materials were displayed at three important scientific gatherings, reaching diverse audiences within the fields of insect science, conservation, and sustainable agriculture.
Between 2 and 6 September 2025, the Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS) took place in Hungary, bringing together early-career researchers and students from around the world. Organised by the HUN-REN Centre for Ecological Research, SCCS is part of the largest international series of student-led conservation science conferences. The event fosters a global community where young scientists present their work, participate in training sessions, and exchange ideas on advancing conservation efforts.

Shortly after, on 9-10 September 2025, PollinERA materials were also showcased at the AGRI4POL Stakeholder Workshop on pollinator-friendly farming towards a sustainable future of agriculture, held in Brussels, Belgium. Organised by the University of Freiburg (UFR) and the Global Change Research Institute (CzechGlobe), the two-day workshop gathered more than 36 participants from across Europe, including policymakers, NGOs, researchers, and advisory organisations.

At the same time, Ento25, the Royal Entomological Society’s annual meeting on insect science, was held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 9-11 September 2025. Ento25 gathered researchers, students, and professionals working across all areas of entomology to share findings and discuss current challenges and opportunities in insect science. The display of PollinERA materials provided an opportunity to increase awareness of the project’s aims and activities among an audience engaged in insect and pollinator research.
